COLOR CODE unc24-1 Marked on prints as unc24 Tc1, May 1987
Codes taken from MRC Neuron Charts October 2, 2008; DHH
This young adult (e2386, a Tc1 allele) has been extensively reconstructed in the anterior ventral cord and less extensively in dorsal cord region. Some lateral commissures were traced between the two nerve cords Many ventral cord axons have been reconstructed using a red and blue color code. Many chemical synapses are visible on the prints. This animal’s data was mentioned in a WormBreeder’s Gazette article by Nawrocki, Southgate and Thomson in 1988 (WBG 10: 129). The animal was said to have fewer defects in DA commissures compared to another unc-24 allele, but it may still show a lack of NMJs to dorsal muscles from the DAs, leading to its reported kinky unc phenotype in the L1 stage.
